fastRender for Shaded View
We’ve made some great enhancements to the Shaded Views across all modes! fastRender is a new type of Shaded View that increases the speed of large files realtime renderings.
DMX Control for Camera Path Playback
Flying Cameras can now be controlled from a console by having their Camera Paths patched to a DMX universe. The Camera Path requires seven DMX channels; Using cues on a console, it is easy to Pause one camera, Play another, scrub the initial camera to a different position and then start its playback from that position:
fastFocus Lines in CAD and DESIGN Modes
We've created a new type of linear focus point in R30 that we call fastFocus lines. These lines allow you to draw this line like you would a focus point, and then select fixtures to assign directly to the line. If you move or resize the line, the fixtures assigned to the line will move along with your fastFocus line! These new fastFocus lines have many of the same properties of a Focus Point, but have considerably more functionality.
fastFAN
fastFan is a new tool that we've developed to make your aerial focuses and any other fan-‐like focus quick and easy in R30. You've asked for it, and we've delivered! fastFan allows you to grab a group of fixtures, tilt and pan them as a group, and then spread the focus out with a simple wheel. This action can be performed in CAD mode (for conventionals) and Design mode (for moving heads) rather quickly!
Pipe and Drape Wizard
This has been a very widely requested feature among the WYG user base, and we've added it into R30!
More Features and Improvements
Layer Merge
R30 allows you to merge two or more layers together in the Layer Manager. This is a useful tool for when you want to combine Layers within a drawing. It's very easy to do, and it takes no time whatsoever.
File Merge - Enhancements
When merging a file, the current Editable state of layers is ignored for both the file being merged and the active file. This means that objects being merged in will no longer have to be put on the current layer. To make this more lexible, a new"Layer Import" dialog will appear when merging one WYSIWYG file into another. This dialog will allow you to rename layers instead of combining them and will display the state of the layer in both files.
Improved Focus Designer Tool
We've added six new buttons to the Intensity Designer in DESIGN mode: Plus and Minus 5% intensity, Plus and Minus 10% intensity, and Plus and Minus 25% intensity. This gives you the ability to have quicker intensity adjustments to your work, both quickly and repeatedly.
Shaded View Selection in CAD Mode
We've added the very popular feature of Shaded View Selection in CAD Mode Shaded View! Tapping the TAB key when you're in the CAD Mode Shaded View, as well as DESIGN Mode Shaded View easily accesses shaded View Selection.
CAD and DESIGN MODE ENHANCEMENTS
- Select Fixture Group - This option allows you to select fixtures via their Fixture Group
- Select By Position - This option allows you to select fixtures via their lighting position
- Select Fixture Type - This isn't a new function per se, but we have added the shortcut SHIFT+S to make selecting fixtures by type a quick two-‐button snap!
